"My skin is difficult -- dry and itchy in some places, oily in others, red on occasion for no apparent reason, etc. I was a devoted Checks and Balances user until I discovered the Plantidote line, which was ideal for my troubled face. Calm and soothing, when used in conjuction with the face serum and cream, I see immediate results.
I don't wear makeup, but I could see how if you did, this wouldn't be the ideal cleanser for you. It's so gentle that it might not serve as a makeup remover. However, with no makeup, my skin is definitely left feeling clean and refreshed."

"LOVE Dr. Weil's products. This wash is so soft and delicate that my face feels calm, relaxed and softer then ever after washing. I don't wear a ton of makeup, but when I do I need to use makeup remover because this will not wash it off (perhaps a big issue for some, but a small one for me). The only product that I can get my boyfriend to use to wash his face with. He loves the smell and the way it "doesn't feel like chemicals" on his face ha. We both have combo skin. Have recommended to many friends, especially after they have tanned (summer/vaca). AMAZING for newly tanned skin."

"I have a skin condition that leaves me with red marks on my face, chest and arms. This product is the first product that I've used where I've been able to see the results the very first time I used it. Like some other reviewers, I wouldn't use this alone but in conjunction with other cleaning products."

"Fortunately I received this cleanser (in a full size) as a Origins gift w/ purchase. I was ecstatic to try it out free since it's one of the more expensive cleansers. However, I was disappointed with it. I, like most women, wear makeup and let me tell you, this cleanser does not clean well AT ALL. I'd have to wash my face twice and even then when I toned afterward. there was still significant dirt and makeup on the cotton ball.
I LOVE Origins. Great price points and great products but this one... not so much. Stick w/ Checks and Balances or A Perfect World!!"

"Since I was in my teens, I've always used a gentle cleanser on my skin. Now, at 55, and many products later...this is the only product I use and will continue to use. I love the feel of my skin after using it...so clean and soft. I use most of Dr. Weil's line of cleansers and skin cremes and I highly recommend his product line. "ok maybe the title is a little excessive, but this cleanser is a big part in reducing my adult acne like 95%. the no soap cleanser is the business. it doesnt have harsh chemicals surfacants like aluminum laureth sulfate that make my skin push out excessive oils. Just what my sensitive reactive skin needed. i know i sound like a commerical, but i've been searching for years how to gently manage my acne, this i it. Dr. Weil is great"

"This product is an excellent cleanser if you don't have any eye make up on... otherwise it just doesn't get everything off. If you use a tissue to wipe off the cleanser it does, but I prefer to just rinse with water. I follow the cleanser with the toner, which gets rid of any of the extra make up left behind. Aside from that, I think the cleanser is very gentle and does not strip my skin of any moisture."

"This cleanser is perfect for sensitive skin. The texture is like mashed bananas. It doesn't leave that tight, dry feeling afterwards. Probably not recommended if you wear a ton of make up because you will have some left over. Solely this cleanser is to soothe sensitive skin. Which is perfect for me."

"I used to use eye remover everyday to remove mascara(which is very difficult to remove = volume shocking), but after I use this mushroom cleanser, I do not need any other cleanser.wow. just need to massage my face for 30 sec;then everything is gone! I may not buy full size one, but whenever any gift set has this cleanser, I will buy it!"

"I would only use this face cleanser if I was going to use an intensive mask or microdermabrasion right after as I wouldn't want to dry my skin too much. But other than that, I would not really buy this product. I would also use it after going to the gym maybe. All in all, this perhaps is not an all-time cleanser for me and I would only buy it if I had extra money to spend. Otherwise, I could definitely live without it."

"Due to a mild case of eczema I've had problems finding a cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin further. I am so happy I gave this a try. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed as opposed to dry and itchy. After only two weeks of use I've seen a huge improvement in my skins overall appearance."

"I am a great fan of this line. The serum and the cream are absolutely wonderful. However, the cleanser doesn't do very much- doesn't cleanse well...and it definitely doesn't remove makeup."

"I've tried many Origins cleansers and liked them all. This one however leaves an Oily feeling. It does not feel like I am cleaning my face. I cannot use this product."

"I like this product only as an AM cleanser. At the end of the day, I just don't feel like it really cleans my skin. My mascara is hardly washed off after using it. But, it is very gentle. It's very expensive for the amount you receive. I've had it a month and I only have about a 1/3 of the bottle left. I think I'll switch to the Perfect World cleanser."

"Even though I have oily/combo skin, the winter can dry my face and this cleanser makes all the difference. No tight dry feeling, no pale pasty look. Doesn't seem to aggravate my acne. It can help with Eczema, too!"

"I purchased this cleanser at an Origins store about three years ago. I had rosacea. After using this cleanser 3 days, my skin was clear. If I should happen to run out of it and have to use something else, the rosacea comes back."
