"I have used Origin products for well over 15 years. I love the new packaging and colors!
The new clear cover allows me to see the eye shadow color so I do not have to open multiple containers to find the one that I want. I never used the little applicator, so I do not miss it - a brush applicator is so much more effective. Also, I do not miss the mirror as it was always covered in the eye shadow powder and it was too small to be useful.
The new colors are richer and much more improved than before. Great job, Origins.

"I used to use Origins and I recently came back to try the new shadows! My favorite is Violet Plum. I don't mind the new packaging at all, because I never used the mirror or applicator from the old packaging. This shadow blends out really well, I use it in my crease all the time & get compliments. The color payoff could be a little better. In the pan Violet Plum looks like a deep blue purple but when applied it's really dark and there is only a little tint of purple. I still love it because it creates a great smokey effect. I will definitly be trying more of these shades out!"

"I have my staple colors of origins eyeshadow I have used as daily wear for years. I hate that both of those colors are now gone and there is not really something close. I also miss the convenience of having a mirror and applicator. The new packaging does not come with either. Bring back the old colors and the old containers, please!"

Old colors/old packaging gone

"So disappointed in losing some old standby eye shadow colors. But even more, NO APPLICATOR???? It's bad enough having to buy applicators separately, but the new packaging doesn't even have a place to store an applicator. The round container is awkward to hold also. Feel like we, the customers, got the short end of a cost-cutting stick."

"Have been using origins eye shadow for several years. so disappointed when it was unavailable for a few months. tried many,many other products but didn't like any as well as the origins. so pleased when I found it was once again available. but HATE the new round packaging that doesn't include a place to hold a small applicator. used to keep in my purse for quick touch ups, now have to hunt around for an applicator. not impresses with the new container design design"

Eyeshadow is great, but changed packaging is bad

"I have been wearing these eye shadows for more than 10 years and I LOVE them. They go on smoothly, stay on and I love the shades. However, recently the packaging has changed and it no longer includes an applicator or anywhere to store an applicator. This is a HUGE negative for me and will probably lead me to change makeup lines, at least for eye shadow. This is too bad. I have no idea why origins would make this change just to save a few cents."

"I am a long time user of Origins, particularly the eye makeup. I am amazed at the smooth application, the incredible blend ability, and the fact that it stays put for a good 10 to 12 hours after I put it on. I personally find a brush a much more effective means of application, so I do not miss the applicator. The thing that impressed me most, however, was the fact that they took a lot of my old favorites, changed the name just slightly, and then added a TON a sheer-to-bold shimmer that leaves the more hard-pressed shadows in the dust. Thanks Origins, you've done it again!"

"i have only tried two of the peeper pleaser powder shadows, but so far have like them and will order more when my current supply runs out. i have always used makeup brushes (which i feel put the shadow on better) so the shadows coming without an applicator does not bother me."

"At first when I received this eye-shadow (in silk chiffon) I thought it was a way darker pink than I wanted, but when applied, it was true to the color advertised. It also is shimmery, which I like, but was not aware of when I ordered it. It does not crease like cheap eye shadow which was one of the main reasons I ordered this. I would definitely recommend this, but like the other reviewers, I wish it came with an applicator! This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5."

"Oh Origins, I loved the old shadows. PLEASE BRING BACK ROOTBEER FLOAT. I can only wear your shadows because of a Carmine allergy, you are the only brand that doesn't put the color additive Carmine in your Makeup. I'm not at all happy with the new Peeper Pleaser colors and no applicator either :( So disappointed."

"Ordered this product because I was out of my twilight colored eye shadow. I miss having an applicator. The mirror and applicator definitely added something to the origins products, especially if you are on the go, or travel alot and don't always have access to a mirror or your full makeup kit. I used to just carry a shade or two in my purse for quick touch-ups. I can't do this anymore."

"I still love this product's great colors - copper penny, moss, and shell provide color without being overwhelming dark during day time. I visited the Rookwood Commons Mall and was excited to see the matte colors available. Origins, I hope you come out with more matte finishes as ladies of a certain age need less sparkle / glitter - esp during the day!"

Missing Applicator

"This new version of Origin eye shadow comes without an applicator. That forces me to squeeze into my small make up case the old empty eye shadow in order to use the old applicator. I was told that I could buy one but I don't want to throw it into my case and fish for it , or get it dirty. Also, there was not one available."
