Love this! Great product line

"I have tried many, many, many moisturizers over the years -- cheap, expensive, from the drugstore, department store and dermatologist, big name, small name. This is the ONLY one that actually moisturizes my face effectively without being too greasy and/or leading to breakouts over time. In fact, I love the whole Mega Mushroom Skin Relief line. I have had mild-moderate rosacea for about 25 years and I used a topical prescription gel for it for years until I came to the conclusion it was no longer helping. Then I tried this line. This is much more helpful in terms of controlling redness (and flakiness) than the prescription was. It's not cheap, but I feel it's worth it. I must admit, I wasn't sure I liked it at first -- the "scent" (herbal) took some getting used to -- but I stuck with it and came to love it. I have been using it now for about 2 years."

Feels good but not as much moisture as I had hoped

"I have really sensitive skin that turns very red in response to allergens, irritants, emotions, foods, and cold and dry weather. At times my face burns so badly I can't stand it. I started using this product about 4 weeks ago (morning and night) and it definitely is soothing! This is the first skin care product that has not made my skin turn bright red after application. It feels cool when applied, is not at all greasy, and helps keep my redness in check in the morning and in the evening. I wear mineral makeup and it goes on very nicely after my morning application of this product - it is not at all heavy and does not leave anything behind and feels like clean, dry skin after it has absorbed. I do wish this product provided just a touch more moisture though because I tend to get dry patches and I would rather not spend a fortune on additional products or feel like I'm layering on product."

"I had a chemical peel recently to improve my acne scar. My skin was not sensitive before, but in the first 3 days after the peel, it became extremely sensitive. All my normal moisturizer hurts me!!! So I tried Dr. Weil, both the soothing serum and this cream and love both of them, especially the moisturizer. It really does the work: soothing my sensitive and dry skin after the peeling and doesn't hurt. The cream has a very smooth texture which I really enjoy. But probably I should not use it anymore when my skin condition goes back to normal. It might be too heavy for my oily-combination skin."

"I got really sick after having my second child... My hair was falling out, I was anemic and my skin was FREAKING out over EVERYTHING. After washing my face I would get welts! My face was blotchy and breaking out and it hurt! I have been using Dr. Weil's Face wash, serum and face cream for 5 months now and my skin looks AMAZING! (I use the moisturizer at night and VitaZing in the day rather than foundation) I noticed results in tenderness right away and visual improvement in just days. I wont use anything else! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this amazing product!"

"Just love it. So pleased with this cream. Softens my irritated, rosacea skin. Has actually calmed my break-outs and at the same time has smoothed out my numerous fine lines. A little smelly upon application (very small inconvenience)."

I'm Shocked...

"I tried this product without a lot of expectation; more just desperate to find anything that works. I'm not able to tolerate most creams and lotions. Many that are supposed to reduce redness, actually irritate and "burn" my skin after a few days of use. I have very red, dry/flaky, hyper-sensitive skin. I had even tried using dandruff shampoo on my forehead to get relief from the flakiness.
This is the first product from the Mega-Mushroom line that I have tried. I could see the results immediately. My skin tolerated it very well. (felt wonderful, and although my face went bright red as I patted it in, it then calmed immediately). My skin actually felt smooth enough to put makeup on (something that I haven't tried in ages due to the flakes and creases).
I keep touching my face, as it doesn't seem to be my own. I hope my skin continues to accept the product. I'm amazed so far...
I don't know if this will work for everyone, but over the last several years, NOTHING worked for me, and I'm so excited to find something that my face will tolerate. If my face will tolerate these products, then I'm confidant that anyone's will. If you've given up finding a product that actually soothes, and think your face is too dry and sore, try just one more product.... this one."

"I have super-sensitive skin - reactive, prone to redness (I have rosacea), and simultaneously very oily and breakout-prone AND easy dehydrated and flaky! So, the best of all worlds, obviously. I had been using another skin care line (from a well-regarded brand) formulated for sensitive skin, but found that it seemed to be drying me out and I was still getting redness.
On a whim, I tried this, and it's wonderful. Immediately hydrating and absorbs well and also serves as a nice base for sunscreen, makeup, etc. (That was most definitely not the case for the moisturizer I had been using previously.) It calms and soothes my skin. This one is a winner!"

A nice cream, but did nothing for my redness.

"This cream has a velvety, non-greasy texture and absorbs well on my oily/combo skin. But I bought it hoping it would reduce the moderate redness I have on my cheeks and around my nose. It made no difference in my redness compared to other more moderately priced creams. I stuck it out until the jar was gone (about three months) and I'm sad to say my skin looks no different.
It's a nice cream, but at this price I expect dramatic results. Not recommended."

"Was diagnosed with leukemia in January and chemo completely changed my skin from normal/oily to super dry, itchy and super sensitive. Went to my local Origins store and the salesperson recommended the Dr. Weil line. Specifically this moisturizer along with the serum since my skin was so dry and irritated. This moisturizer worked miracles. All my dryness went away and my skin feels soft and looks normal again. Even my old acne scars seem to be disappearing. A bit expensive but I think it'll last a very long time considering how little you need."

"After having so much success with the mega mushroom serum, I really wanted to like this. I do like the texture of it and how it made the skin soft. But it made my skin too oily and break out with continued use. It is probably best for combination or dry skin."

"I've only been using the mega mushroom product line for two weeks. l have combination skin and for a long time used harsh acne products. A friend of mine convinced to by these products. I have NEVER been more impressed with skin care products. My skin no longer becomes oily in the t zone later in the day and my skin is softer. I was worried about break outs once I stopped using the acne wash...not one pimple yet. I'm hooked on this line. Worth every penny I spent. Can't wait to see how much my skin improves in next 3 months."

"I've suffered from oily skin & breakouts my entire life and was never able to find a face cream or lotion that didn't cause my skin to breakout. Not to mention, I was left looking exceptionally oily. This product (along with the Mega-Mushroom Face Lotion) saved my skin. I was seriously skeptical that a cream would leave my face less greasy but that is indeed what happened: the texture of my skin vastly improved, my oil production was greatly minimized, and I don't have anymore breakouts. The price may seem steep but both the cream and lotion last you a long time (3 months at least). I'm a fan for life."

"I have very sensitive acne prone skin; It is also combination-dry, which is very difficult to work with. This cream gives me perfect amount of moisture without breaking me out, and it is also an excellent primer for makeup. I like the earthy smell although my mom really hates it. It kept my skin moisturized and supple during my winter backpack trip which tells me something."

"It has always been difficult to find a skin cream that has reduced the eczema on my face. I bought this moisturizer in hopes that my skin would calm down in the winter, but this really does nothing, at least for severe redness."

"I use many other products in the Dr Weil collection, and they work well for me, as I am allergic or sensitive to some of the ingredients in run-of-the-mill lotions and cosmetics. I bought this face cream to try partly because of a sale, and I am so glad I did! After using it only once, my face felt much softer. I absolutely love the texture and smell of the cream, too. I definitely highly recommend this product if, like me, you have very sensitive skin."

"This is my favorite fall and winter moisturizer. It's thicker than the lotion (which I use in the summer), smells great, and helps keep the redness/dryness in check. If my neck is irritated from shaving, I'll spread some on and it soothes/calms it."

"I have been on the search for the perfect moisturizer and this one comes real close to perfect!! My skin is very sensitive/combination. This moisturizer is gentle enough not to irritate my skin but moisturizes the dry spots and doesnt leave the oily spot oily. Its amazing! Even after a long day my face does not look shiny at all!! The smell Im not crazy about and it would be great if it had SPF in it. Other than that its great!!!!!"

"I purchased this cream because I needed something that's safe during pregnancy. While I like the texture and the way my skin feels after wearing this overnight, the scent is just too heavy for me, and I'm going to return the product. The scent is not empirically unpleasant; it's just too strong, and doesn't seem to wear off after a few minutes the way scents in skincare products often do."

"I have sensitive skin which is prone to redness. This product really does calm my skin, it hydrates very strongly, I use it am and pm as suggested. I used to have eczema around my nose but this prevents it from coming back too. I'm a male and this product seems to work great for male and female, good stuff really all you need!"
