No More Red Skin!

"My skin starting changing in my early thirties and I was getting redness and some breakouts. The redness became worse after using exfolitating products. I was using A Perfect World toner, which I loved, but decided to try the Mega Mushroom Treatment Lotion instead. I really love it. It is soothing and takes the redness and sensitivity away. It still is a toner, but feels like it is doing more. No more redness after Modern Friction for me! It smells earthy, not foul like some reviewers described. I apply it with a cotton pad. Overall, I am happy I made the switch."

"This lotion sooths my irritated skin. In trying out new products, I find that some things, especially exfoliates,, are just too harsh for my very sensitive skinn. One wipe with this lotion soothes and calms it immediately. No more alcohol-containing toners for me! "I love this product so much that I actually look forward to using it every day! I did not want a toner, because, like exfoliators, I thought they were a gimmick. I got this as a free sample and used it because I had it. Now, I come home and can't wait to wash my face and apply this! When I apply it, I swear I can actually feel my skin drinking this stuff up. It's so cooling and any redness or irritation just feels like it's lifted away. So refreshing, especially with the heat of my office and freezing cold winter weather, this stuff really balances out my skin."

"I would like to preface my review with a statement for other reviewers: THIS IS NOT A TONER. Many reviewers have been calling it a toner, but it is a Treatment Lotion. If you buy it thinking it is a toner, and you have oily skin, it may not be what you need!

That being said, it is more of a liquid than a lotion. It is tricky to apply--the best way I have found is to put a nickel sized amount of the liquid in the palm of one hand, dab my fingers in it, and smooth over my clean face (applying with cotton pads is still too abrasive for me). I have sensitive skin that is very dry, especially in winter, and I purchased this product along with the Mega-Mushroom creamy cleanser as my new skincare regimen. I have had to purchase a 3rd item: the Make A Difference Plus Ultra-Rich Cream for nighttime, because the Treatment Lotion is not hydrating enough for me.

So if you have very dry skin, do not expect this product to fully hydrate it. HOWEVER, what a glow!! I love applying in the morning after rinsing with cold water (to keep from stripping my skin). I wash my face only at night and put the ultra-rich cream on before bed. So far, so good! I almost need no makeup, breakouts have cleared, and I feel that I look younger! The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is it is called a lotion and that seems misleading to me."

"This lotion is in liquid form and feels like an astringent on your face without any of the harsh irritation. It dries without any of that sticky build-up feeling you can get from other products. It has very soothing properties and when used with the cleanser and serum, have reduced the redness in my face. I use this system for redness but have noted that my face is free of breakouts and is less oily too. I also use the plantscription serum for anti-aging and the products seem to work well together. Love my Origins!"

"Having tried almost every product in the Mega-Mushroom line and loved every one, so far, I decided to give the toner a try. I was reluctant because I have the most freakishly sensitive skin, and every toner I've ever tried has either irritated my dermatitis, or caused me to have acne. During the first week of use, my skin looked fantastic! I was beginning to think I had finally found the toner for me, but my skin had other ideas (as usual). I started getting tiny clogged pores along my jawline, forehead, and cheeks. I left them alone and continued to use the toner (along with the face cream, serum, and cleanser). After the second week, the tiny clogged pores became full-blown acne. I stopped using the toner, and the bumps diminished within a few days. I really wanted to like this product, but I guess my search must continue."

"I am a skeptic and I never liked any products well enough to stick with them before. But this one became my favorite! "This toner does everything I want a toner to do. It makes my skin feel clean, look clean and smooth, and feel hydrated. It works better then any toner I have ever used. I don't have a ton of redness, mostly sensitivity and it has helped my skin act more calm over time. I would say I used it at least a month, maybe two, before it seemed to start helping with my sensitivity. Definitely more expensive then the usual toners I buy, but 100% worth it! I never want to be without it."

Amazing Results

"I purchased the mega mushroom skin relief soothing lotion along with the cleanser barely 3 weeks ago. I have been using them both morning and night. I could see results within the first week. I never had redness in my face until about 4 years ago. I went to a dermatolgist and they said it may just be natural redness which confused me because I never had it until the age of 25. So needless to say I tried numerous things over the past 4 years and never had any real results. Last month one of my friends was talking about the great customer service that origins had and that you can return a product at any time if it is not working. After hearing that, I felt I had nothing to lose. So I ordered it and I am glad I did. My husband also told me that the change is very noticable. The redness has decreased significantly to the point I may actually feel comfortable going without make up again. I am so happy I tried it and will continue to use it. *Just a tip that the lotion is actually liquid which I thought was odd. It definitly moisturizes though. I just pour a little bit on my finger tips and rub it in. It dries quickly and my face feels nice and refreshed. It is a GREAT product!"
