"I started using this along with the mega-bright serum a few months ago and I am in love. My skin just looks all around brighter and more clear even when I take the makeup off. I usually wear this makeup over a liquid coverup, and it never makes my skin look cake-y, but rather just natural and smooth. You can barley tell I have makeup on! Also, recently I tried putting this makeup on without any coverup and it made my skin look great by itself. I'm new to origins but I'm already pretty dedicated to this company and would recommend this product to everyone."

Good alternative to Silk Screen

"Okay so I felt like I owed this review to Origins. I initially tried Brighter By Nature powder foundation after my color shade of Silk Screen had been discontinued. And I hated it so I returned it. Maybe it was making the switch from such a perfect powder or my bitterness towards Origins for taking it away. Whatever the reason, I did not like it and went on the hunt for a replacement. And all I can say is that after trying about 10 other chemical free, organic brands, I came back to give Brighter By Nature one last desperate try, and I love it. It is a great powder. I wear it alone and it controls oil, buffs out flaws, provides an exceptional amount of coverage, doesn’t cause breakouts, and has pretty nice staying power. I am a pretty oily gal and I can wear one application in the morning all day to work/school and only reapply if I go out later at night. And to top it all off, it is in the compact form. This is a feature I realized I had definitely taken for granted as I was trying other powders as I discovered most of them are loose. The only thing is I am a VERY faired skinned lady. However, I do tan. I have gotten a considerable amount of color already this summer and the very fair warm color fits me absolutely perfect right now. I worry that it’ll be too dark in the winter months after my color fades and I'll be back in the same boat yet again. All in all, it’s a good alternative. I took a cosmetic case full of makeup samples and even full size jars that I had collected over the past few months and chunked it, proving that Origins is still the best. l will still hold on to the hope that the long lost color shades of Silk Screen will come back one day, but until then, this is next best."

"I bought this for my daughter. She has sensitive combination skin and needed a little cover for some problem areas but wanted it to look and feel natural. This makes her skin flawless! "This foundation makes my skin look perfect. I have a nice glow, but not like I am going dancing, just a nice healthy complexion. I am very fair, and have some dark patches from sun exposure and pregnancies, and this powder evens it all out. It also makes my morning routine so very simple. "I love this foundation because I can easily control how much coverage I want on each area of my face. It works great if applied a few minutes after moisturizer and it stays smooth all day without clumping or turning powdery/flaky. I don't like liquid foundations as I always seem to get too much in some areas and not enough in others. Plus you have to wait for it to dry. I like this because I don't want to look too made up, but I do want to even out skin tone and cover blotches. I love that it's FAST to apply - just a few quick brushstrokes and you're out the door."

"It's a mixed bag with this powder. I'm not sure if a powder has to be a little heavier to deliver spf. If so, then this powder is to be as expected. If not, it cakes a little, not a lot, but a little. The color is true to the website and blends nicely and despite its weight, it doesn't clog pores. I would recommend this item, but warn potential buyers that it goes on a little heavy."

"I purchased this powder because the Silk Screen color I normally use was discontinued. I use this powder over my Stay Tuned foundation and I do NOT like the way it looks. by mid day it looks very cakey and even the light color looks yellowish on my fair skin (I was color matched at an Origins counter). "Since I have entered into my upper 30's I have had dryness and the onset of various wrinkles, more as a result of this dryness. I started using plantscription serum and this foundation, in addition to face and eye cream, and I am so amazed at the years falling off my face! I use the sponge that it comes with and with a light hand I make my skin even again. I have sun freckles and melasma from pregnancy. It's pretty bad and the liquid foundations never seem to cover it, unless I would want to cake it on, which I definitely don't. This gives that spot coverage and then I just lightly even it out and wa-la! Instantly better skin! I have normal/dry skin and this doesn't dry my skin at all or make it look crepey like many powders do. Thank u origins!"

"I have some pretty bad skin issues to cover (redness, sun spots, broken capularies, zits, shine...) I hate liquid foundation becasue that always required powder over it and then it feels so thick, especially in summer heat. I tried this powder foundation and I am hooked. This is all in one (powder foundation) and I control the amount of coverage. Becasue its powder, it doesnt melt as bad liquid does in summer. It hides all my flaws and I actaully get compliments on my skin... seriously. I use the powder bronzer on my cheeks after so that i can use the same color powder fountation all year and to brighten up skin tone. The two together are my dynamic dual!"

"I'm 52 years old. People always tell me, "You're SO lucky to have such perfect skin!" Ha! If they only knew what my skin looks like without a little help. Granted, my skin is smooth, but it is dry, splotchy and full of those lovely lines of aging. I don't mind getting older; there are definitely some perks. But I have no intention of giving up and looking matronly. Brighter By Nature is my secret weapon. I had a clerk at the Origins store say that this product was better for younger skin...LIES (I am a bit dramatic). This product, when applied lightly and dabbed with a makeup sponge to remove excess, creates a smooth, perfect base for your other cosmetics. I have VERY DRY skin and this DOES NOT dry my skin. Since I have been using this product, I have WAY fewer break-outs, my face NEVER gets sun burned and I have "perfect skin.""
