"I finally found something that works with my skin. I am 51 and my skin is still a bit oily and can breakout. I also have some discoloration and getting some tiny wrinkles. Lately my skin has been rough and dully. I have tried everything. I gave this product a try and I'm glad I did. I was afraid that the lotion like feel of this cleanser would make my face breakout but it hasn't so far. I have been using this for over a month now. My skin is softer, smoother and has a nice glow. It has changed the overall texture of my skin. I will never have perfect skin but this cleanser brings me a little closer to perfect."

"I've been using this cleanser for about 2 weeks now and I knew going into it, that is was a cream cleanser and wouldn't foam up. Honestly, if it foams a lot, it probably isn't very good for your face as it's most likely a sulfate making all those bubbles. Anyway, I've been pretty loyal to Origins Checks and Balances. It's the only cleanser I seem to be able to use with out breaking out. Every once in a while, though, I'll give a try to another just in case I can do better. This mega mushroom cleanser had great reviews on how people didn't break out, it calmed redness, it was awesome. Well so far I can say that I haven't broken out, but that's it. My cheeks are still pretty red and this stuff isn't "awesome". Granted, the frangrance is somewhat pleasant and your face feels just-applied-moisture-soft as soon as you rinse it off, but my face also doesn't feel clean. I find that I have to use a TON of it on each wash just to not feel like I'm rubbing plain old water on my face. I guess I expected a hardier consistency. In addition, after taking the majority of my eye make-up off with a remover, I attempted to use this cleanser to wash the rest of my face. Sadly after 2 attempts, I still had dark mascara circles around my eyes. I went over that washing with a wash with my trusty Checks and Balances and low and behold, not only did the mascara come off, but is seems the Mega Mushroom left behind the power make-up I wear as well. Not sure what the point of a face cleanser is, if it doesn't clean your face."

"M skin is extremely sensitive and I deal with a lot of redness. Everything I used before this cleanser caused my skin to burn like crazy. I have extremely oily skin, but using all the wrong products caused my skin to flake in horrible places. I started using this cleanser and its absolutely excellent. After using this cleanser for a week, my skin was calm, the redness went down, and my acne had cleared up. Best of all, it didn't burn at all. I would highly recommend this cleanser to everyone!!"

"I would recommend this face wash however I wasn't expecting it to be completely devoid of foam. There are no suds, its purely a cream cleanser and your face feels smooth and not dry, not squeeky clean after but moisturized. Takes some getting used to but so far I'm happy with it. Feels like a cold cream cleanser more than a face wash if that makes sense. Nice scent."

"I've always had perfect skin. I survived all of my teenage years without a single zit, or blemish at all. Three years ago I started developing a skin issue on my face. I thought it was bad acne but, it turns out it wasn't. I thought it was some sort of dermatitis or "hives". Nope. I tried every product out there to no avail.

After I went to the allergist I discovered by accident during the tests that what I have is just overly sensitive skin, which means, any scratch, small blackhead or anything of the sort - no matter how small, once scratched or tampered with will have a reaction making it get all bumpy and red.

I thought there was no cure for my condition. I got online and the rep recommended this product, along with the toning lotion, serum and soothing cream. In less than a week, my face has reverted to its original condition. I could not be happier. My skin feels protected. I complete my care regimen AM and PM, during midday, when I come home I just wash it with this cleanser and it protects my face for the remainder of the day.

The cleaner is not soapy, don't expect soap but, whatever it is, it's worth it. It removes makeup with ease which means I don't need to use harsh make up removers. I don't use mascara so I don't know how well it will remove mascara. I definitely recommend it to those who are desperate for a solution."

"I have problematic combination skin and this cleanser leaves my face feeling absolutely fantastic! I use this entire line of products, and I have definitely noticed quite a difference in how my skin looks. The scent is very earthy which is nice, and I love that it's not overwhelming. The only thing I would cite as negative about it is that since it is such a gentle cleanser it doesn't always remove all of my makeup. I don't mind it so much since I generally use something else to remove my makeup. Definitely worth trying!"

"I love this product! A friend of mine who has used it for over a year, and has similar skin, recommended it to me and I don't want to look back! I have dry sensitive skin, especially in winter. I kept breaking out in certain areas of my face and was confused--my skin is so dry, so why am I breaking out?? Then my doctor told me that something I was doing was too drying for my skin. She said it could be using hot water, scrubbing too hard, or buying too-harsh facial cleansers, and that my skin was overproducing oil in certain areas as a defense. No wonder I was breaking out! I have stopped scrubbing and I simply apply this wonderful cleanser daily with my fingers and lukewarm water. What a change! Over the past few weeks my breakouts have mostly cleared and my skin does not have any dry flakes! I am so grateful!"

"I have very dry skin, especially in the winter months. I've used a lot of different cleansers and I have never been as satisfied with them as I am with this one. Most cleansers make my skin feel tight after using them and this one makes my skin feel smooth and comfortable. The only time I notice any discomfort when using it is if I use it in the shower but I'd attribute that to the hot water and not the cleanser. I have mild acne that gets a little worse when I have changes in hormones, but this cleanser has done a fantastic job of keeping my skin clear. Both my exboyfriend and sister mentioned how much clearer and smoother my skin is looking. I've had this cleanser for about a month. However, I've only been using it consistently for about a week. My skin tends to be a bit red because of dryness and I haven't noticed much of a reduction in the redness/sensitivity of my skin, but that may be because I've only been using it consistently for such a short period of time. Overall I am incredibly satisfied with this product and would recommend it!"

"While I have normal to oily skin, in winters it does dry up. So, about 2-3 times a week I use this cleanser and my skin always feels balanced throughout the winter. It is gentle, smells great (earthy mushroom smell) and if my skin is extra dry, I Just tissue off and then wash my face in the morning. I love it and would recommend it to anyone with dry skin."

"I got really sick after having my second child... My hair was falling out, I was anemic and my skin was FREAKING out over EVERYTHING. After washing my face I would get welts! My face was blotchy and breaking out and it hurt! I have been using Dr. Weil's Face wash, serum and face cream for 5 months now and my skin looks AMAZING! (I use the moisturizer at night and VitaZing in the day rather than foundation) I noticed results in tenderness right away and visual improvement in just days. I wont use anything else! This face wash does feel more like lotion than anything, which was weird for me... I thought it wasn't doing much and I was going to break out more, but just the opposite happened. You just have to get used to the feel of it.

"This is a great, gentle cleanser with a soft "earthy" scent. I typically use it in the morning since I've found it isn't the greatest for washing off makeup at the end of the day. "I have sensitive, acne-prone oily skin. After just two days of using this, my skin was softer and noticeably brighter. It also helps with shine. I haven't had any break-outs sense using this. Because it doesn't foam up, I go through a tube quickly. But this face wash is worth the price. I use it in the morning and at night by rubbing it over my face while dry, then adding warm water to my hands after a bit, then gently washing off with a washcloth."

"Origins was recommended by a friend of mine a little over two years ago and I have been using Origin products ever since. My skin was very dried out, irritated and blotchy. When I discovered the Dr Weil line of products for sensitive skin prone to redness, my skin did a complete 180 and now I get compliments on how beautiful my skin looks. It's as if I've gone back 10 years in time. I do love this face wash my skin feels even more moisturized after I use it. Some cleansers strip skin and leave it feeling dry but this one moisturizes while cleansing. This is by far the best cleanser I've ever used"
