"I am so beyond impressed with this product...how have I not know about it longer?! I have an incredibly oily t zone and my skin typically soaks up all my makeup within an hour of application. Not with this little wonder. Its an unfamiliar texture at first..its quite runny so its not like a serum. So make sure you just put a few (i only need two to three for my whole t zone) drops in the palm of your hand and dab it on with your clean fingertips. I just moved to h much hotter and more humid climate and my skin had been driving me insane. I am so thankful I found this!!"

"I have had oily skin as long as I can remember. I would get SO frustrated that my makeup and skin would look nice in the morning, but by midday my forehead and T-zone would be shiny and oily. This product is fantastic. It really reduces shine and helps keep my face quite matte throughout the day! Silly as it sounds, I feel "cleaner" with a fresh, matte face!"

"I have only used this Zero Oil Instant Matte Finish a few times since I purchased it in February of '13, but I can already tell that I love it! I live in the south where it gets extremely hot, and I'm already prone to oily skin, but this stuff absolutely keeps my face shine-free all day long. I put it on under my makeup and my skin looks great & shine-free all day. The bottle is a little bit weird, and it's tiny, but it doesn't take much product to produce results. If you have really oily skin, this product is definitely for you."

"I typically do not write reviews but this product is amazing. I am 30yrs old and have horribly oily skin. This product takes all the shine away, so much so that people often think I wear makeup because my skin looks great.

1000 Blotting Paper in a Bottle

"Replace the blotting sheets with this product! This amazing product helped me stay shine-free ALL day. I just "set it, and forget it!" No more of that blotting paper that slowly fades away your makeup with every sheet. Also, I don't have to retouch or blot every other hour with the oil-free instant matte product. Awesome!"

"I have the oilest skin ever...even at age 60. This Zero Oil was the only thing I have ever used that actually got rid of that shine on my forehead and nose. I wish I had found it a long time ago."

"I think that I was one of the original users of this product, and have not stopped using it since I first tried it. I don't know what I would do if they discontinued Zero Oil Instant matte finish. I actually stock up on Zero Oil so I will never run out of it. I can definitely see a difference in my skin when I do not use Zero Oil after I apply my makeup. Helpful hint for those that feel Zero Oil leaves a white chalky appearance on your face after it is applied. I shake the product very well and pour a small amount into the palm of my hand. I apply it to my face by just rubbing my hands together and dabbing Zero Oil to my entire face, concentrating on my most oily areas, like my nose, forehead and chin. When the product dries, I take a clean, dry paper towel and work it lightly over the white areas and they instantly disappear, blending right into your skin. The look of my makeup is like night and day if I do not use it. Without Zero Oil Instant matte finish, my oily skin is uncontrolable. Works very well with Matte Scientist oil free face lotion. Please bring back Matte Scientist. Biggest mistake that Origins made when they discontinued this product. Please don't ever discontinue Zero Oil. I would be devastated!"

"there are white powers precipitated, i think that are what make it named "ZERO OIL". not bad, but i definitely wont say it's good. i think it will work for a moment for oily skin, but combination skin feels rather tense..."

Works, but not very long lasting

"I never had a problem with oily skin until I got into my 20s and it just seems to be getting worse as I get older, and like most other people reviewing this, I've tried just about everything. This product does everything Origins claims it will do, but it doesn't last through a work day. (I find that it lasts 4 hours or so before I start noticing my skin getting shiny again.) The directions say you can put it on under or on top of make up, but when I tried to apply it on top of my make up, it smeared and felt sticky, which makes it impossible for me to reapply throughout the day. I occasionally notice some flakiness, which is the actual product and not my skin. Sometimes it feels gritty. Overall, I'm pretty neutral about this product but won't buy it again."

"I have used Origins products for years and used to be a slave to Matte Scientist during the warm Texas summers. I work in Public Safety, wear no foundation at work, but really like to stay clean and fresh looking. If made to choose, Matte Scientist was better foe the texture of my skin, but the Zero Oil Instant matte works longer, even if it doesnt leave my skin as smooth feeling. I do like the tiny size; I keep it in my pocket for a quick freshen-up between runs.
All in all a good product, but I miss my Matte Scientist! I still had some left over when I first got the Zero Oil, and actually used both-the Matte Scientist underneath and the Zero Oil on top and it was a PERFECT combination. Origins give us back our Matte Scientist please!"

"This stuff was terrible, it definitely helped with zero oil, but ultimately dried out my skin and caused lines in my face and flakiness do the the extreme dryness. I was hoping that this would be somewhat equal to if not better than the Matte Scientist, which I had been using for years and never gave me any problems, but not at all. I still got breakouts and I walked away with laugh lines at the age of 23, hoping that an Origins lotion would therapy my skin."

"This product works well for my skin. I just bought it last week, and I totally happy. My skin looks clean without shiny oil more than hours. I use it over my moisturize and under my sun screen. I dries fast and effectively. I use it for all my face, even my cheeks which are usually drier than the Tzone, it didn't give me any break out. It really works for me."

"I love that you see the oil disappear immediately. I use this for midday touchups over my makeup/moisturizer and it's perfect. It's dries clear and clean and doesn't feel as if I've added another greasy layer onto my skin. The bottle is tiny enough (in a good way) that I carry it in my purse and it doesn't take up any space at all. Worth a try if you have oily skin!"

"It's too strong for me. Makes my skin feels dry and sticky. Matte scientist made my skin feel dry, but moisturized and smooth. It's the only product that I really liked using. It does the job, but it does not replace matte scientist, and that's what I'm looking for. Hopefully, they will bring it back."
