OK for moisture but not matte finish

"I've used this for a couple months now and just don't find myself reaching for it anymore. It gives good moisture but does not give a matte finish like the description said, nor has it helped with my pores or oil control at all. Find it interesting that the ingredients aren't even listed on the tube and doesn't say anything about salicylic acid either, yet the website does show that as an ingredient? I like to know what I am putting on my face! I only use it now when I have a day at home without makeup just to use it up."

"I bought this because I will go for a trip to northeastern part this winter, where is known for dry and cold weather in winter. I was not sure about using lotion on my face, given the fact that I have very oily skin, but this was great: I enjoy the smell, the feeling after applying it. Good product for oily skin.
The only thing I would say, it is a little expensive for its size..."

"I have VERY oily skin and I first tried the Balanced Diet, which still left me very oily. After I exchanged for the Zero Oil I never had that problem anymore. This moisturizer is very refreshing and absorbs right into the skin without leaving any residue!"

"One of the best moisturizers that controls oil that I've used. After a full day at work I had forgotten I used it, and I was surprised to see how well it minimizes shine. Works extremely well with the zero oil deep pore cleanser. I generally only use moisturizer in the winter, but this works so well I may use this all the time."

"I have maturing skin which is also normally quite oily (so I don't usually use moisturizer) & can be moderately acne prone. But our winter climate gets extremely dry & so does my skin! Yet, the acne persists! Thus, I needed an oil-free moisturizer for my maturing & dry winter skin, which also combats acne. Origins Zero Oil Moisture Lotion sounded like it would fit the bill & since I have been pleased with other Origins facial care products & gave this a go. I have been using it for 2 weeks now & am satisfied with this product. It does moisturize & relieve my skin's dryness without adding any oily heaviness - it is very light. Plus, it is helping prevent & heal my moderate acne."

"I do think that this lotion is ok to use. The bottle is small for the price. I don't feel like it is very moisturizing and I have actually been breaking out more since I started using it. I have only been using it for about 2 weeks so I might give it a little more time. I am also using the checks and balances face wash now."

"This product smells wonderful, but it didn't help control oil at all. I have very oily skin. Within ten minutes of putting it on, my face was shiny. Definitely wouldn't recommend!"

"this moisturizer is a great addition to zero oil cleanser with saw palmetto & mint isn't greasy & leaves your skin smooth after cleansing with zero oil cleanser & i also love to use the toner..so far most of my adult acne is gone, i do still have some white heads but of course nothing is perfect but it has been the best yet to keep from breakouts & getting rid of those blackheads !!,,,, also i would say the mega mushroom skin relief sample i received was awesome ! i got 3 uses out of that tiny package so if u are questioning the amount it all goes a long ways for the money :)"

"I live in a hot and humid environment and summers are horrible. Every moisturizer I've used just melts of my face and leaves it oily. Zero oil is amazing for this weather, it absorbs quickly, doesn't leave my skin oily and feels cool and tingly."

"I just got a sample and used it for a week, i really like it. I still actually need to purchase the real sized one, which i will.
I have combination skin, large pores, 24 years old, very stressed and tired, and i dive every day as part as my job. This cream does not dry me out at all, its soft and gentle. It helps a lot with my break outs that i get from stressed skin, probably hormones too. It also really helps the size of my pores that a large around my nose and cheeks. I will keep buying this product and recommend it to others.
Now just to try that eye cream to brighten my eyes!"

"I have oily skin with huge pores, even though I'm over 50. I needed a moisturizer that would not add oil but that would also help my aging skin. This product is exactly what I needed. My foundation stays on, pores seem to be shrinking, and I don't need to use powder to get rid of the shine (which just adds to the wrinkles :) )"

"I had previously only used the more moisturizing products because of my sensitive skin, but this summer turned my face into an oily mess. Every day, within a few hours of washing my face I felt oily and disgusting, and my skin was breaking out in a way that hadn't happened since high school.
I was wary to try the zero oil line, since I have such sensitive skin that I knew needed moisture, but this stuff couldn't be more awesome. I have the face wash, the toner, and the moisturizer, and together my skin has never felt this smooth or oil-free. My face is not shiny (hence the matte finish), my pores are microscopic, and even the slight redness in my cheeks has gone away. And this is only the first time I've used it. I expect in a week or two I'll be completely acne free again.
I wouldn't recommend this moisturizer in the winter, because I know it wouldn't be enough, but for the rest of the year this stuff is amazing!"

"I thought all moisturizers were the same and could not help treat acne but this one really helps! I use all origins products now and my skin stays consistantly clear besides a once a month blemish that is faded quickly with the zero oil mask. Honestly, I will never use another moisturizer."

"I have combination-oily skin. I cant use light moisturizers because my foundation does not go on as smoothly and they're too drying. When I use thick moisturizers, it just sits there on my skin or makes me feel oily. This moisturizer manages to moisturize my skin just perfectly."

"This was a gift to my sister. She constantly complains about having oily skin. I keep telling her she needs to moisturize no matter how oily her skin is. I basically bought this to prove a point. She loves it! It's the only mattifying moisturizer she's tried that actually moisturizes while controling oily skin. Depending on the season or how her skin feels, she uses this all over or certain drier spots."

"Initially bought this moisturizer to use with the zero oil cleanser, but now I use it with the check and balances cleanser. Most moisturizers sit very heavily on my face, which makes it feel kind of oily and sticky, but this moisturizer sinks in well and is absorbed quickly. I definitely feel that my skin is fully moisturized without being smothered. Plus the scent is really refreshing."

"I wish they did not discontinue "Matte Scientist." Zero Oil line is not like the line that came with Matte Scientist. The Zero Oil line is not good at all as the last one for oily skin. Sorry but this is not a good product."
