Pinch your cheeks

"I have used this product for years and I love it because it is such a light and natural look. I especially like it since I live in a hot climate and I don't have to worry about my blush fading and running off if I perspire. It stays put."

Disappointed
 Date: May 15, 2013
"You only need to use a tiny bit of this product to get a lot of colour, which is great, but the product always gushes out of the tube & it's much too difficult to get the excess product back in the tube resulting in waste. Also being a gel this needs to be applied with the fingers... the colour is so strong it stains my fingers so after every use I find myself having to really scrub the product off my fingers. The blush looks alright when it's on, but when I'm getting ready to go out I'm almost always in a hurry so I don't want to be messing round with a messy gushing tube of highly pigmented product & wasting time scrubbing to get the product off my hands. After a several attempts to use this I've gone back to my powder blush for good."

The Best Blush
 Date: May 5, 2013
"I wanted to comment first on the tube and issues with the tube. You have to squeeze very gently from the bottom of the tube (very gently), especially the first time you use it. You're sort of burping a little air out. Squeeze at all and you'll get a lot out. When this has happened I've put the extra in a little (clean) pill box. You really only need to dab a tiny amount of this product on the apple of your cheeks. You'll be amazed at how long this tiny tube will last!!!
I love to blend this blush into freshly applied foundation and then, if necessary buff it off just a little. Great staying power and looks great on bare skin too! Very natural looking.
If I could only have one item from my make up box, this would be it!!"

Love the Coralberry
 Date: April 19, 2013
"I have the coralberry cheek color and really love it. I have red hair and fair skin and found the color to look very natural. I put my plantscription liquid foundation on and then put a small dot of my moisturizer on my cheek area. Then I put a tiny dot of the cheek color on top and blended together. It stayed on all day. I have not tried it with the MultiGrain powder foundation yet because I'm not sure it will blend as well. I think it is a good value for the price."

All I have used for years....
 Date: March 16, 2013
"This is by far my most favorite blush that I have ever used. It's so concentrated that you literally
only need a dot of it to get a nice fresh glow on your checks. As others have said, the tube
is half empty, but......I use so little to get a blush that it actually lasts me a long time.
A trick I learned in applying it is this....I put on my sunscreen first and while my checks
are still moist from the sunscreen I then use the gel. It glides on smoothly and you only
need to use a very small amount, like the size of a freckle.

Disappointing
 Date: March 13, 2013
"I was excited to try this product. The gel is nice. However, the metal tube it comes in is another story. I have wasted at least 1/4 of the get because the tube is relatively inflexible, and when I push it hard enough to get a small bit out, I get a gush. I will not purchase again until the tube is improved."

1/2 empty
 Date: March 13, 2013
"This product is great but as other reviewers noted the tube was literally less than 1/2 full when I got it. I wouldn't have spent the money on this if I'd known how little I'd be getting for the price."

"I've used this product for as long as it has been in the origin line...pros: a dot on a blush brush goes on face effortlessly; again most natural blush on the market; purchase size has not changed since the day I bought #1!
cons: why you got a 4 insted of 5...last 2 purchases have had 1/2 empty tubes...not a good thing. :(

"Love this blush-not over the top, easy to apply and true to color shown-However what is with the tube being only about 1/2 full??? when you squeeze the tube to get product out, it appears the tube is half full. For the price couldn't Origins fill the entire tube? It is a small tube to begin with and being half empty-not very economical."

a little goes a long way

"This was my first time using a cheek stain. I wanted something that would last longer than powder blush alone. This product worked for me. a tiny drop on your fingertips blended quickly into your cheeks is all you need. I have the brownberry and plan to try another color as well."

Not for me
 Date: January 16, 2013
"I thought I would love it, but I don't. I don't have particularly large pores, but, nontheless, it seems to settle into my pores and make them appear more prominent. This is a stain, and I think I do better with something creamier."

Not right for everyone
 Date: January 12, 2013
"I bought this product because of other customers' favorite comments. I have medium skin and every time I use this people will tell me my freckles stand out more. They usually don't recognize that there are freckles on my cheek.
I also found that is hard to use. You need to be very careful and precise when you put on on your face. Once it's on your face it is very hard to change it. It's not like a power brush where you can mold it or fix it. It tends to stick in a particular small area which is not very natural. (color I got is coralberry - 02)
Another problem is it stains your fingers. Even though you wash it with soap, there are still some red stains left.
I will go back to power brush or try the cream style in the future."

Not so good
 Date: January 7, 2013
"I love all things Origins however, this blush just did not compare. While I have tried other cream/liquid blushes, this one absorbed way too quickly and I was unable to fully spread it. Basically, I looked like a clown (purchased Coralberry)! I exchanged it (no problems) and tried the Pinch Your Cheeks powder blush in Sweet Shimmer and absolutely love it! I think this would work if mixed with a moisturizer but, I don't always have time for that!"

Waste of money
 Date: December 10, 2012
"first of all, i had to squeeze the TINY tube more than halfway up to get any product out. based on that alone, I decided to return it.
The product that did come out was an ok color, but it was very, very sheer. The amount of product you have to use to get any pigment payoff does not match up with the amount of product you receive.
i thought i might have gotten a defective tube, but asked in store when i returned it - nope, that's how they are made, is what i was told.

Love It!
 Date: December 10, 2012
"Thanks to the other reviews I knew to expect a lot of air in the tube. I carefully pushed the air out from the bottom of the tube and did not lose any of the product at all. Now that the bottom is pressed, I simply squeeze the tiniest amount on to my fingertip and apply. The color is wonderful and the look is so soft and dew like. I don't know if I will ever go back to powder blush. This product will last a long time considering the tiny amount needed for each application."

"I read some reviews about the Pinch Your Cheeks product when I first thought about purchasing it. I was curious about what this cheek stain stuff was and whether it would work for me. I remember people saying it was hard to apply, so when I got my first tube, I applied it right after my moisturizer and was stunned about all the compliments I received; it really can brighten up your face that much! I recalled someone providing good advice on how to prime the tube when you get it - this is important so you don't squeeze too much out. I just slowly pinched it up just until I could see a little product about to come out of the tube. To apply, I just put a little drop on my finger, then smoosh my two index fingers together until they have about the same amount on each, then rub into cheek area. On a side note, I see there is an issue with empty tubes - I just experienced that on my second one delivered today. I would definitely recommend the product though - coralberry is great for fair skinned complexions."

Must-have product!
 Date: October 16, 2012
"I have been using pinch your cheeks as a blush or lip stain for years, and I can't imagine switching to another stain full-time (though I have tried several high end stains!). I am not a "full face" makeup person except for very special events, so using this right after moisturizing keeps me from being too pale on a daily basis, but it's very easy to layer for a more glamorous night-time look.
It lasts all day and is pretty resistant to rubbing off, but comes off with a quick wash. I have never broken out or experienced any skin irritation and I have extremely sensitive, breakout-prone skin.
I recently tried the coralberry after a decade of raspberry only, and found it to be a perfect compliment to my skin tone--just like the raspberry. This blends so well, I wouldn't hesitate to try a shade you like even if normally it wouldn't "work" for you.
Disagree that the product is small for the price; a single tube will last months for me."

Best Blush Anywhere, But use Thoughtfully

"I have used this product for years now. I have tried other products, but always return to this one as nothing looks as natural or stays on as long. Yes, it's a tiny tube, but if you open it carefully and roll it from the end toward the front you will avoid blurts of it coming out and it will last a long time. I have found the best way to apply it is with a make-up sponge moistened with a bit of moisturizer or foundation. I apply about a half inch of Pinch Your Cheeks in the center of the sponge, then rub the sponge together to get it into the sponge, as opposed to laying on top of it. I then brush the sponge across my cheek bones, across my nose, above my eyes, my chin, my forehead, etc. When I do this the most viid color is on my cheeks and a more muted color highlights the rest of my face. I then finish with a bit of powder and this will stay on until I wash it off. A wonderful product."
