"Modern Friction was actually my introduction to Origins products. I had a very unpleasant experience at a doctor's office that resulted in him telling me I had severe acne and needed no fewer than 5 laser/dermabrasion treatments (I didn't even go into him about my skin!). A friend caught wind of what happened and suggested I try Modern Friction. I bought it on a whim (was severely taken back by how expensive it was!) and gave it a go. FELL. IN. LOVE. INSTANTLY! From the first use, my skin looked brighter and SMOOTH. My forehead has NEVER been smooth. Even though I've never had an actual red pimple on my forehead in YEARS, I had plenty of little bumps and signs of unevenness. In less than a week, Modern Friction fixed that and left my skin glowing!
I'm sad Origins no longer puts MF in a jar because I'm not sure I can get as much out of the tube, but the formula is still amazing. I recommend this product for anyone with uneven, bumpy, dull skin. It works wonders!
Oh, and I second what several reviewers have said: Don't get it in your eyes! It burns like the dickens!"

"This is a great product! I was skeptical at first because the cost is much greater than your standard scrub, but the difference in effectivenessis truly incredible. Typically, scrubs remove dead skin and soften the skin, but only temporarily. In the past I have noticed that my skin feels rough again as soon as a couple hours later. This product has lasting effects so you do not need to use it often. it does not irritate and really delivers. It helped soften the appearance of my forehead lines and acne chin scars. My boyfriend commented how my skin glowed! BUY THIS!"

"I have very finicky skin. Sensitive. Oily T Zone. Dry areas. Occasional breakouts. Modern Friction doesn't irritate my skin, make me break out, make me oily or make me dry. It creates a perfect, clean slate. I use it maybe twice a week, other days using a mild cleanser.
I LOVE IT!! Would highly recommend to anyone who desires heavenly skin!!"

"I work in the cosmetics department right next to the Origins counter. All of my time there is spent trying all the Origins products and falling in love with them. However, the price tag of Modern Friction has always kept me at bay. But after taking home a sample, and after only once use, I was hooked. My sensitive, oily, problematic skin has never felt so smooth and perfect! I quickly purchased the product and have never looked back! Aside from the exfoliating grains, the creamy texture of the product allows for a thick foaming lather, which provides such a cleansed feeling. I love it!"

"I have to say, during first use, I was disappointed with the dermabrasion part of it! It should have more "friction", yet stay gentle. Once rinsed off, I was HOOKED!! My skin felt amazingly soft and clean. It did not bother my moderate sensitive skin at all. It's so gentle, I feel like I can use it at least 3 times a week. I can not wait till the next use. As the product warns you, keep away from eyes - it will definitely burn."

"I'm obsessed with this product!!! I got a free sample of this and used it because I had it; I never felt exfoliators were good for the skin, and that a washcloth would suffice. I am now in love with this exfoliator!! I use it once a week - it's so smooth and feels like plush moisturizing beads on my face when I'm massaging it in! After I rinse it off I glow and have no dry skin at all. I am in love!"

"I recently got a free sample of this product, not really planning on using it since I'm 15 and my biggest skin issue at the moment is acne and redness. I decided to try this out a week ago and it has majorly improved my skin in a way i didn't think it would! "I use this product two nights a week and love it. I've tried other scrubs and home dermabrasion products and this tops them all. When I wake up the morning after using Modern Friction, my skin is so soft and fresh and that feeling lasts for a couple days. Be careful not to get this product in your eyes as it will burn."

"This is my first time purchase of Origins product but I am so impressed with this modern friction scrub. It works so gentle on my face and after cleansing my face, I don't feel any dryness unlike any other products that I have used before. It gives me freshness and full hydrating feeling. "Love this product. Have used it for years and it's the only one that i've found that does the job. Even my teenage girls have started to use it and feel the same way. However, i just noticed when i got on to order more, that they now have it in a tube instead of the tub it used to be in. THAT i dont like. Is impossible to get all of it out and for as much as we pay for this stuff, we should be able to get every last drop. THAT i think Origins needs to rethink.

"My skin is generally pretty sensitive and reacts adversely to most exfoliating products. But I found that Modern Friction (especially when diluted with a bit of water) worked beautifully--no redness or irritation! My skin was much, much softer (especially when combined with Night-A-Mins). I use this twice a week, and love it!"

"Modern Friction was my first introduction to Origins. I have been using this for almost a year now once a week or so and love it. I have dry but very acne prone skin. This helps gently and effectively remove any dry, dead skin from my face but without stripping, irritating or causing breakouts. When I use this, my skin glows and looks like I've had a facial without the hefty cost or irritation. I'm left with moisturized, silky, beautiful skin. And the other plus is that because I need so little of this with each use, the tube lasts forever."

"Modern Friction is the best exfoliator I have ever used. It deep cleans without stripping your skin, removes all traces of dirt and dead skin, and leaves your face glowing and natural, not red and irritated like some exfoliators do. This one is gentle enough to use every day. Make sure you don't get any in your eyes though or you'll be sorry because it does burn. I love the smell of this stuff too. The only drawback is the price. I buy it when there is a deal or when I have some extra cash at Christmas because it is a splurge but one large container will usually last me six months."

"Best product I have ever bought! I do not have acne, just a lot of bumps under the surface of the skin which means clogged pores. I was told by the girl at the store that acne products and sacylic acid can actuallly worsen clogged pores - it is different from acne. It causes the skin to be overqorked, dried out, and trap stuff in the pores more. She reccommended this to clean the debri off my skin and exfoliate three times weekly. It is amazing. Its only been a week and I can see huge improvements. Thank you origins! And I have used other products and exfoliators - this is the best!"
